Shah Rukh Khan is famous for arriving fashionably late. To launch the musical, Jhumru which will be showcased in Gurgaon, King Khan arrived hours after the scheduled time at the event held in Toronto as part of the film awards weekend. The star blamed that it was due to the shower taps! He claimed that whenever he travels, it takes him a while to figure out how the taps work in his hotel room. And by the time he makes sense of it, some hours have elapsed. Bath bath mein, kya SRK?

Shah Rukh Khan Denies Lip Lock Rumours
Shah Rukh Khan has denied reports that he has locked lips with Kareena Kapoor in his upcoming home production Ra.One.
The Bollywood 'badshah' said that he has never kissed on screen and has no plans to do so now, after 22 years in the film industry.
"I don't kiss because I am not good at it. Don't believe all the things that you read on the Internet," said the 45-year-old who was in the city to promote the luxury watch brand Tag Heur.
Recent reports claimed that the actor, who famously refuses to kiss any of his leading ladies, has finally taken the plunge for the mega-budget sci-fi flick and shot a reportedly sensuous scene with Kareena.
The actor said that he puts down two conditions before signing on the dotted line; he will not ride horses or shoot intimate scenes.
"There are two things that I refuse to do. Firstly, I do not want animals to be hurt while shooting, so I refuse to ride horses. I rode a horse for Asoka but never after that. So I always tell producers, I will not ride the horse or kiss the heroine," said the star.
But Shah Rukh said that he is not judgmental about actors who do so. "Some people know how to do it and look good while doing it and I have no disrespect for that," said the actor.

I don't know how to kiss, says Shahrukh Khan
Report which is doing the round that Shahrukh Khan has been indulge in deep lip-locking with his co-star Kareena Kapoor has been straightway refused by the actor himself. He said that he doesn't do things in films which he is not comfortable doing.
"I don't kiss on screen because I don't know how to do it. I don't do it because I feel weird...and I feel those who do it in films, do it well already," Shah Rukh told reporters.
"I feel discomfort in doing two things for films. When anyone comes to narrate a story to me, I tell them two things - main ghoda nahin chalaunga aur main choomunga nahin (I won't ride a horse and I won't kiss)," added the 45-year-old.
Shah Rukh says he never agrees to do scene where he feels he cannot do justice.
"I don't kiss simply because I am not comfortable doing it. I am pretty uncomfortable even at laughing in my films...so whenever there is a scene where I have to laugh, or where there is a scene where I am uncomfortable or I feel I will not be able to do justice to it, and whenever there are animals involved and I feel they might be mistreated, I quit the film in its narration itself", quips the actor.

SRK moves from Dard-e-Disco to Bharatnatyam
King Khan adds a southern touch to his dream production with the song 'Chamak Chalo'
Cut-throat competition in the Indian film industry has led the biggies of Bollywood to get on with some experimentation. With Salman Khan stunning the audience with the remakes of southern hits we have Shah Rukh Khan adding the southern flavour to his movie.'Ra.One' is Badshah Khan's dream production and he is doing everything possible to make it the biggest hit of the century. After the high profile special effects for the film, next on block is SRK himself performing Bharatnatyam in the movie.
Choreographed by Ganesh Hegde the song is SRK' first attempt with this classical dance form. "This is for the first time in his career that Shah Rukh will perform Bharatnatyam. He always wanted to try Bharatnatyam and 'Ra.One' offered the perfect opportunity," says Ganesh.
The song features the lead pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor dance on the beats of Bharatnatyam. And this is for the first time that international singer Akon will be singing in Hindi. Giving an insight about the track Ganesh says, "The name of the song is 'Chamak Chalo' and is sung in Hindi by Akon. The song will put on show the true chemistry between the couple, SRK and Kareena in the southern style. It is a specialised song and I have made it in a distinctive way. Only after you watch, will you be able to know the magnitude."
Bharatnatyam is a classical dance form and a very tough one too but it seems there is nothing to stop King Khan once he makes up his mind. "Normally Shah Rukh does not rehearse much for any dance number but for this Bharatnatyam song he was practicing for around four days continuously and managed to give the perfect expressions of Bharatnatya. Even Kareena practiced a lot and she too gave the best expressions. With Shah Rukh at his best and Kareena looking graceful in the traditional Bharatnatyam outfit, the song has simply turned out awesome," says the delighted choreographer.
Rumours were rife that SRK had first approached his so-called best friend Farah Khan to do the dance number but Farah refused due to some verbal dispute. We asked Ganesh if he knows about the happening, expressing a strong denial the choreographer says, "As per my knowledge this is not true at all. Shah Rukh had directly approached me first to do the song. He had even asked me to be present during the making of the music and I was with them throughout the process of music production. "
Speaking about the trust level that he and SRK share Ganesh says, "All big projects of SRK are choreographed by me, be it IPL or 'Don'. He trusts me a lot and prefers me over others as I have always delivered him the best. I believe in doing fewer projects but of good quality. I am not among those choreographers who get work done from their assistants," concludes Ganesh.
From the best visual effects to Bharatnatyam now, 'Ra. One' is turning out to be an extraordinary dream for SRK. Only time will tell how hard the film will hit the ready contemporaries.
Bachpan ke din...
Shah Rukh Khan is truly the Baadshah of Bollywood, not just for of his stardom, but because he knows how to keep promises. In spite of a knee injury, SRK made sure he attended the music launch of his upcoming film and obliged the media with questions:

Time's the teacher
Every morning I wake up to a new experience and a new lesson. Sometimes I wake wake up feeling like a nobody and I feel humble the whole day. When I make people smile, I feel very proud of myself and so I behave pompous. And the remaining days I feel like I have achieved so much that I can afford to be humble or pompous. I am a very vulnerable person and I like to live each day differently. I think people who live life according to a time-table are extremely boring. Life is your best teacher. My parents died early, so whatever I have learnt is through my experiences. Much as I try to spend time with my kids and teach them the meaningful truths of life, I know that eventually they'll learn their lessons through the struggles that they face.
Childhood crush
My childhood was as simple as it could get. I was in an all-boys school so I missed all the fun of a co-ed. But I did have my shares of crushes. I used to love Mumtaz and Saira Banu. Like the latter in the Bhai Batur number from Padosan, I would get into a bathtub and perform that song. And I loved Mumtazji in Chakke Pe Chakka from the film Brahmachari. My dad really tried hard to turn my loyalties to Madhubala, but I couldn't get my eyes off these two beautiful ladies.

SRK: I am still waiting to be a superstar
Shah Rukh Khan, who has been busy with his movies Ra.One and Don: The Chase Continues, took some time out to promote his new production Always Kabhi Kabhi, its young cast and debutant director Roshan Abbas.
SRK addressed a press conference and talked about the film, today's youth and why he doesn't think he's a superstar.
The film is titled Always Kabhi Kabhi. What is it that you 'Always' do and what is it that you do 'Kabhi Kabhi'?
I am an actor. So I 'Always' lie, and 'Kabhi Kabhi' say the truth (Smiles).
Could you identify with the film?
Roshan has done an excellent job with the film. He did a thorough research. I could easily connect to the youth genre. The way today's school-going kids deal with their lives has completely changed.
There were things I could not do when I was in school. So I couldn't identify with a lot of things in the film. But I learnt a lot from it. The lead actors romanced pretty girls in the film, which I never got the chance to do.
Did you dream of becoming an actor when you were in school?
I never thought that I would become an actor or come to Mumbai and become successful. I wished to become an actor. I also wished to become a sportsman. There were some dreams that I could not fulfill for certain reasons.

SRK had an exemplary journey in the industry, says Anupama Chopra
Eminent film critic and writer Anupama Chopra's new book 'First Day First Show' has already become a success with Shahrukh Khan's write up in its introductory page.
In an exclusive interview with the IANS, when Anupama was asked why did she chose Shahrukh to pen down the foreword for her book, the writer candidly articulated that the superstar's journey in the industry has been a very challenging and special one, and it is he who could summarize the changes in the film industry better than anyone else.
While addressing IANS, Anupama said, "I asked him to write the foreword because he is somebody whose career I have followed very closely and who in a sense to me is one who actually exemplified the journey. The three Khans have really spearheaded Bollywood. So for me he was the best person to encapsulate how much things have changed."
Anupama had earlier written King Khan's biography that was titled as 'King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the seductive world of Indian cinema'.
About 'First Day First Show'
Anupama's new book 'First Day First Show' is all about the changes that have crept into the film industry, in the last 20 years.
'First Day First Show' is a collection of the author's very own former write-ups.
Talking about her new book, Anupama said, "It's the collection of the work that I have done. The idea was to put the articles together so that it shows how much Bollywood has evolved in the last 20 years. It sort of becomes the history of modern Bollywood. It's to see where we were in 1993 and now it seems like another world."
My relationship with film fraternity is very professional, says Anupama
Though Anupama has been happily married to the famous moviemaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and as such is close to B-town celebs, the writer makes it very clear that her work has never been influenced by any of her associations in the industry.
Speaking about her association with the film industry, Anupama said, "My relationship with the film fraternity, apart from my husband, of course, is very professional. It's not that I am close friend with anyone. So I can tell you with all honesty that I have never been a case of being biased."

Here's what to expect from Don 2 teaser
The world is waiting for the first teaser of Don 2, but what if we bring it to you right here and right now? As always, you get it here first on Bollywood Hungama. Don't be surprised! You may not be able to see the promo of Don 2 so soon but you may picture it in your mind.
A close source who happened to see the sneak peek of Don 2 teaser trailer a few weeks ago informs us, "Don 2 is a true sequel to make, cause to make a sequel to an original story like Don it is very difficult to keep up to the expectations of the first film. The teaser surely does live up to that expectations and what a teaser it is. Don 2 looks bigger in terms of visuals and content and action. We always wanted to know how Farhan Akhtar is going to do it but after the trailer it seems Farhan and Shah Rukh Khan have hit the nail bang on and hard."
The source gave Bollywood Hungama the first exclusive sneak peek into the next big thing coming from SRK, Farhan and Excel Entertainment, "The teaser kicks off with SRK in jail in his dreadlocked look. There are cuts of SRK's introduction and a background song that signifies that he is back. It's the theme of Don playing in your ears as you see the action ripple the big screen. There are explosions and SRK jumping off a tall building and Priyanka Chopra coming in small clips here and there. It's a one minute teaser where you also see SRK standing on a small power jet boat with wind hitting his hair introducing the fearless Don aka Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer ends with explosion and smoke coming out SRK's mouth, a continuation from the last shot of how Don ended."
One thing's sure from the above Don 2 trailer description: There is no smoke without fire and Don 2 surely looks a sizzling date at the box office that's going to burn the celluloid with its grandness of action sequences and explosions. Can you guys visualise it?

Karan Johar not making Haj film with Shahrukh Khan
The rumour that director Karan Johar is planning to make a film on Haj with Shahrukh Khan in the lead role has turned out to be just that - a rumour.
We heard it on the grapevine yesterday that Karan Johar plans to acquire the rights of the National Award winning Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu (Adam’s son Abu) which is about a man’s struggle to go on a Haj.
It was being said that Karan Johar thinks that such a film would be a good creative and commercial proposition after the success of My Name Is Khan which had an Islam-centric theme. Johar planned to cast Shahrukh in the lead role, it was rumoured.
However, Karan Johar has denied any such plan of making a film on Haj with Shahrukh. Rather, Karan is set to buy the remake rights of a French film.
“On record...am NOT planning the remake of the acclaimed malyalam film...actually in london to acquire the rights of a superb french film!! If all goes well the french film will translate beautifully into an indian love story..can't wait to get it going..watch this space for more,” Karan Johar wrote on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
Karan also revealed his plan of directing his next film Student of the Year.
“STUDENT OF THE YEAR...kickstarts mid AUG...and will release mid 2012...am directing after 2 years!! Nervous and excited....” Karan wrote.
Nervous even after having directed so many films? But then a new film is always like a new baby!

Shahrukh Khan introduces Aazaan in Toronto
Yet another flashy award show, yet another gathering of the who’s who of the film industry and yet another chance for the Bollywood stars to travel abroad. The strategy of making unlimited categories to award all and sundry regardless of the quality of their work is religiously followed by award shows, whether held in India or Canada.
Another stated motive of such franchises is to ‘recognise new talent’ and give it ‘international exposure’. In keeping with this noble principle Shahrukh Khan introduced, during a recently held film event in Toronto, debutant actor Sachiin Joshi and his action thriller ‘Aazaan’. Apparently, the film is based on the issue of biological warfare and has all the masala required for an espionage thriller. The theatrical trailer of the film was unveiled at the Toronto premiere of ‘Double Dhamaal’.
Surprisingly, certain mainstream newspapers have already gauged the talent of the young actor and the potential of the film and have started publicising ‘Aazaan’. We live in the times of cutting age PR, don’t we?

SRK On Break, Here's What He's Doing
For those who were thinking Shah Rukh Khan's London get-away will keep him away from Twitter are in for a special surprise.
The Ra.One star has been furiously tweeting details of his holiday with the family. At his first concert ever, the superstar and his kids get to meet the Black Eyed Peas and he can't stop raving about it.
" met black eyed peas backstage with the kids. will i am & fergi were so gracious. their concert rocked...awesome. fergi said she has seen me act with the actress with light pretty eyes...my first concert...wot an initiation! loved it !" Looks like the actor is famous everywhere.
The actor takes a break from work to get philosophical, " in the mode of doing nothing. sometimes listless..aimless...workless makes it the most satisfying experience of the day. there is an urdu line...jo kuch nahi karte woh kamaal karte hain ( those who dont do anything..do awesome )...in london doing awesomely nothing."
The family man had also earlier tweeted, "taking the lil girls tomorrow to see the black eyed peas perform. my favourite group & found out my lil ones love them too...makes me feel cooler that i am not as outdated as i thought. i know justin beiber too, so there !!"
Whoever thought you weren't cool enough, superhero?

SRK’s Filmi Future
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is as busy as ever, signing new projects and promoting home productions.Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is as busy as ever, signing new projects and promoting home productions. In fact, he hasn't been getting much sleep due to the intense work being put in on his pet project Ra.One. Thankfully, his other productions are being taken care of, such as how Roshan Abbas has held the reigns for Always Kabhi Kabhi. This most recent SRK production release is about high school kids, sending SRK back to his own school day memories. His schooling at St. Columba's in Delhi was a very strict one, unlike the carefree filmi portrayals. "When I see Aryan and Suhana, I realize schools have become easier now. You couldn't be a badmaash (truant) in my school."
Shah Rukh has also signed on for Yash Chopra's next directorial venture. The film will be a romance co-starring both Katrina Kaif – her first time opposite SRK – and Anushka Sharma. Leave it to Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan to bring love and romance back into Indian cinema. But would you believe it that SRK feels strange these days enacting romantic scenes? "Nowadays, I sometimes feel strange doing certain things I have done well in the past. I have to convince myself that I can still do this and pull it off."
If Yash Chopra's next isn't enough to get fans excited, there are several other projects in the works. Shah Rukh has been looking into the script of Xtrme City to be helmed by none other than Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese. "Yes, I met Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio in Berlin. They, including Paul Schrader, are very happy with the script. A few days ago, I sent them a mail saying that I'm going to read it, and we hope everything turns out well."
The other project that SRK is keen to sign – once work on Ra.One has finished – is Vishal Bharadwaj's Two States. At this point he is unsure who will be cast opposite him in the film, though names such as Asin and Priyanka Chopra have been making the rounds.
Of course the Baadshah's fans have a lot to look forward to at the end of this year with the release of both Ra.One and Don 2. "While Ra.One is very technically slick, Don 2 will be very tough, and I call it a macho film." And what about rumours about Ra.One's skyrocketing budget? "There might be a year when my big films don't do well, so I won't have money to produce smaller films. But if a big one like Om Shanti Om does well, I can produce Billu, which in a way did well for us in terms of money too. As long as I have that freedom, I will continue this way." SRK fans surely have no complaints to make with that!

Doing nothing, and loving it: Shah Rukh
He is one of the busiest stars in Bollywood, so no wonder Shah Rukh Khan loves it when he does "nothing"!
"In the mode of doing nothing. sometimes listless...aimless...workless makes it the most satisfying experience of the day," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.
"There is an Urdu line...jo kuch nahi karte woh kamaal karte hain (Those who don't do anything do wonders)...in London doing awesomely nothing," he added.
The actor has been busy shooting the last bits of his mega-budget home production "RA.One", and last week, he enthralled Bollywood fans in Toronto with his presence at the three-day International Indian Film Academy ( IIFA) Weekend and Awards.

"There is an Urdu line...jo kuch nahi karte woh kamaal karte hain (Those who don't do anything do wonders)...in London doing awesomely nothing," he added.

After the 'Black Eyed Peas' concert, Shahrukh felt envious of those who can sing.
"i really envy all who can sing. i believe the most personal gift of Allah to anyone alive is the ability to sing. so to all the singers (bathroom ones included) keep singing and make life your song," Shahrukh posted.
Well, if not a professional one, we're sure Shahrukh can be a bathroom crooner.

'Bombay Duck..' reminds me of my journey : SRK
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who launched Indian writer Kanika Dhillon's novel 'Bombay Duck is a Fish' here, says the book reminded him of his journey in the tinsel town from television series 'Fauji' to his latest venture 'Ra.one'.
"For me, 'Bombay Duck..' was a call from the past. It reminded me of my own journey from Jamia Milia to Fauji to Ra.One. Kanika's writing style is part satire, part drama, part humour and part realism. For all those who believe dreams do come true, this one's a must-read," Shah Rukh told reporters.
Although SRK pursued a Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, he later opted out to make a career in Bollywood. Shah Rukh made his acting debut in 1988 when he appeared in TV soap 'Fauji', playing the role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai. Presently, the actor is busy giving final touches to his home production 'Ra.one', a science fiction due for release on October 26.
The novel traces the journey of small towner Neki Brar, who like countless other star struck people, leaves her MNC job and comes to Bombay to make it big in the film industry.
Neki is in pursuit of being a film-maker. In Bombay, Neki encounters everything - love, friendship, betrayal, success, humiliation. It is an insider's perspective on what goes behind the scenes while shooting a film.
The book which is a debut novel of Kanika is published by Westland Ltd and Gautam Padmanabhan, CEO Westland.
"This book is very close to my heart not only because it is my first book but in some way it reminisces of my feelings for this city. Neki's journey is one that a lot of people will sympathise and connect with. The lure of Bollywood is also an engaging appeal," Kanika said.
'Bombay Duck is a Fish' is not about creating an identity, it is about finding or losing yourself along the way and relishing the journey whose destination is Bombay, she said.

Shah Rukh's autobiography to be released soon
Shah Rukh Khan has given his fans a chance to know him more closely. Fans that have been waiting to hear the tale of the superstar's struggle and success are very close to reading it in Khan's own words.
Khan's autobiography, titled 'Twenty Years In A Decade', is almost complete and will be released soon.
Talking about the completion of his autobiography, Khan said, "I've been writing this book since more than 10 years now. It is called 'Twenty Years In A Decade' because I felt that in 10 years, I've lived a life of 20 years between 1991 to 2001. It's almost complete now and one of these days when I complete it, I will ask my writer friends to edit it and I'll release it."
The book will have many personal moments of the star's life. There is a chapter on journalism too. The chapter which is very close to the star is where he mentions his parents who passed away when he was young. Many experiences and things about him have been written in a fun way.
But Khan doesn't want to take his writing skill to screen because he thinks writing a screenplay is far more difficult than writing a story. Khan, started his career in 1991 with Deewana and produced numerous hits in that decade.

Husain Saab Was An Immortal Personality: SRK
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has condoled the demise of legendary painter M.F. Husain by remembering him as an immortal personality. The actor regrets he couldn't meet him for one last time and says he will always miss him.
"I have been very close to him, and I just can't believe he is no more. I'm a big fan of his work. The walls in my house are full of his paintings. I was working very late and I got up late when I got know that Husain saab has passed away. I always believed he is an immortal personality," Shah Rukh told NDTV.
"I really miss him. I had to go to London for holidays and they got delayed by five-six days. The first thing I used to do was to meet him. I really wish I had gone, I really wish I had met him one last time. I wish I had gone three days earlier so that I could have met him," he added.
The 45-year-old said that when he was young, he used to follow Husain on the streets of New Delhi because of his amusing appearance.
"In a strange way, I have known Husain saab for years. When I was young and lived in Delhi, we used to follow him. He had this quirk of walking barefoot with a stick which used to amuse us as kids," he said.
Shah Rukh says when he came to Mumbai, he had the honour of working with Husain for his 2001 film "Asoka". "Very sweetly he made seven paintings for me. Then I met him quite a few times when he was making paintings of Madhuri Dixit. He had outstanding energy," Shah Rukh added.
Husain, who rose from painting cinema hoardings to becoming one of the world's most celebrated artists, died in a London hospital early Thursday at the age of 95.
Shah Rukh had the pleasure of painting with Husain, hailed as the Picasso of India.
"Recently I had been meeting him a lot, bumping into him in London. I had some great conversations with him. I also painted a painting with him... he took me and we made it together, though I was so scared that I would spoil it.
"The last time I met him, it was few months back. I didn't ask him for a painting, I asked him for a paintbrush and few days back I was talking to my wife that I should get it signed by him," he said.

Shah Rukh Khan, Jay Sean rock at GVK Reddy's granddaugther's sangeet
International singer Jay Sean gave a fabulous after-dinner performance as Amitabh-Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta clapped in appreciation at the sangeet of Siddharth and biz magnate, GVK Reddy's granddaughter, Mallika Reddy in Hyderabad on Friday night. More Bollywood actors trooped in as the wedding took place on Saturday night. This will be followed by exclusive reception party on June 13.
As reported in DNA, Hema Malini gave a Bharatnatyam performance a day earlier just before the sangeet. When most of the stars came out of the Shamshanabad airport smiling, there was a bit of a drama with Anoushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh as they tried to duck the shutterbucks. "They literally went into hiding at the airport and tried their best to duck the media by not coming out of the airport for a long time. They also tried to exit separately but in the end," the source.

Shah Rukh''s presence adds lustre to my film: Roshan Abbas
Roshan Abbas, who has made his directorial debut 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' with newcomers, says producer Shah Rukh Khan's involvement adds lustre to the film and that a project like this needs such a push.
'Hum heere ko tarash sakte hain lekin usko chamakne ke liye uspar roshni padni zaroori hai. (We can only shape a dimaond... but it will shine only when light falls on it). With Shah Rukh, the film suddenly becomes larger (than life),' Roshan told reporters here Monday.
'We were promoting our film the other day in a mall where the song 'Antenna', which is picturised on Shah Rukh, was being played and we could see people singing that song. This is his popularity and you need that kind of promotion and support for a film like this,' he added.
Abbas was accompanied by the cast of the film - Zoa Morani, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey and Geselle Monteiro. Releasing Friday, 'Always Kabhi Kabhi', made under Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment banner, is about four youngsters trying to compete with the pressure of growing up and the many firsts that everyone experiences in high school.
Zoa, Ali, Satyajeet, Geselle also shook a leg to 'Antenna' and interacted with children from ex-cricketer Kapil Dev's NGO Khushii, which works for the welfare of the under-priveleged.

Ra.one's special show for Roshans
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, for the first time would organise a special screening of his forthcoming superhero film 'Ra.one' for actor Hrithik Roshan and his filmmaker father Rakesh Roshan.
"What we have heard is that Hrithik has already seen rushes of the film and he is quite impressed. But Shahrukh wants to show him the final cut, complete with sound effects and the jazz. In fact, that will be the first screening of the film for his own family," sources close to SRK said.
Shahrukh recently had said that Roshan's film, 'Krrish', was India's best super-hero film.
"My children love the film and they think that Hrithik is the best super-hero. I too love it and I want him to see my film and give his feedback," 'King' Khan said.
"Rakesh Roshan is the most planned director I have worked with. He plans everything before he starts shooting, which is fabulous."
"There is no confusion when we are shooting. Hrithik is like him, he likes to plan things before he starts shooting. I want them both to see Ra.One soon. It may help them in planning Krrish 3," Shahrukh added.

Shahrukh Khan's 'Chhota' Ra.One, 'Bada' Ra.one
One film for the masses while other for classes. SRK wants to win the hearts of both masses and classes and children too.
Highly placed sources, say SRK will release 'Ra.One' in two formats. One, (Bada 'Ra.One') will be a full length film (160 minutes) which will be in a 2D format while the Second(Chhota 'Ra.One') will be a short version (90 odd minutes) classified without songs and dance and only crispy re-edited film with added action and visual FX sequences in Three Dimension (3D) which is set to entice the young audiences.
The post production facility 'Prime Focus' who were working on a 90 second promo of Ra One to convert the film in 3D has successfully done so.
Shah Rukh loved the impact so much that he opted to make two versions. The shorter one will be converted in 3D which is said to release a little later after the full length film.
"If all goes fine, certain portions of Ra One shall be in 3D," hinted Shah Rukh recently at a media interaction.
The 3D version will be released in multiplexes mainly for metro cities and international market along with the IMAX dome format.

Director No. 4 for Ra.One!
Karan Johar and Yash Chopra directed songs for Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One last year. And now, Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani is in Hyderabad 'helping' director Anubhav Sinha helm the film.
Says a source, "SRK and Kareena Kapoor were shooting there with Anubhav directing. Everything seemed fine till Tarun got an SOS call from SRK asking him to fly out to help them. People are already wondering which director's name will go in the credits."
Sinha reacts, "It's insulting to Shah Rukh, Karan, Tarun and me to answer such questions. This is an important sequence. I don't think Tarun would do this for any lesser friends than Karan and SRK. It's a big sequence and everyone is pitching in to see how they can help. What more can you expect from a friend? The day I'm not the director, it will be Shah Rukh Khan who will say this to everybody else."
Anubhav explains further, "Shah Rukh is missing his right hands on the film. While Bobby Chawla is in hospital, his other deputy, Karim Morani, is in judicial custody. Also my first assistant director, Vaibhav Mishra is getting married on June 24 and leaving the set tomorrow. So what do we do? We need help and so we ask for it from our friends. One phone call from Shah Rukh and Tarun flew down to help us. He's been gracious enough and is helping us, in every way he can. Yesterday I gave him a big hug after we wrapped the last shot."
"I haven't directed a film in the last five years, and am living, breathing and working on my biggest film. This film is a huge investment, and my biggest challenge till date. We need friends and well wishers for a film like this! I love Tarun for doing this."

My kids don’t like all my films: Shah Rukh Khan
Actor Shah Rukh Khan has always maintained that family comes first for him. So, despite a hectic schedule, he makes sure to never skip on spending time with his children, son Aryan and daughter, Suhana.
He insists that they are unaffected by his stardom. "My family are not big fans. My kids have their lives and one of the things that theirfather does is make films. They don't like all my films. They have their own personal favourites, but I feel good when I catch them watching my old films on TV. I have never made them sit down and watch any of my films. I don't watch my films myself,"he says.
Shah Rukh has often said that his next film, Ra.One, which is a superhero film has been made for his kids.
"I make all my films for my children. Chak de India was also for my kids. It is a more emotional gesture than practical one of saying that, 'Ye picture mere bachchon ke liye hai'. I like doing films for kids, films that they can watch.
They like films and they enjoy watching them, not just mine but every other actor's. The only difference probably will be that my son will like Don 2 more than my daughter, while Ra.One will be appreciated by families," he elaborates.
So, which films of his has been approved by his kids? "I think they like Badshah, Duplicate, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jayenge and Chak De India. Among the recent films, they loved Om Shanti Om and found My Name Is Khan a little serious. Now they keep asking about Ra.One.I want my little girl to like it, and have put in enough for girls to like it too," says Shah Rukh.
How would he like his kids to remember him by— a superhero or a super dad? "I am my kid's father before anything else. I can't have them thinking of me as a superhero because right after that Don 2 releases and they may just end up thinking of me as a super villain," quips Shah Rukh.

SRK is selfless: Kanika Dhillon
Ever since the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, launched her debut novel amid much fanfare earlier this month, Kanika Dhillon has been garnering generous proportions of attention and is riding high on the curiosity value.
Turns out, the vivacious St Stephens College, Delhi and London School of Economics alumni has co-written the script of SRK's magnum opus "Ra.One" and heads the creative content division of King Khan's production house.
Amritsar-born Kanika informs that it took her six months to ask SRK if he would launch her debut book. "I was wondering if I should ask him or not. I took six months to rehearse how I'd ask Shah Rukh Khan if he would launch my debut novel. I thought of 100 ways to ask him. Finally, three weeks before the book hit the stands I went to pop the question and forgot everything I rehearsed. I just bluntly asked 'Would you launch my book?' He graciously agreed. It meant a lot to me and I got very emotional."
The visibly excited scriptwriter-turned-author is still in awe of SRK for his selfless gesture. "He always encouraged me to write. By agreeing to be by my side, he has encouraged me as a writer as well. It was a dream come true for me because I'm a big fan of his and he is my mentor." She goes on to say that SRK's selfless nature and humility make him the star he is today. "He is selfless and has backed a lot of people in the industry. He launched a lot of directors and filmmakers' careers and this selfless nature of his makes him the star that he is."
Kanika's book, a satire on Bollywood's underbelly, revolves around the two vastly different worlds — the cushy reel world and the hard real world — as seen from an Amritsar-born Bollywood dreams-chasing young girl's eyes. "The book is about the tussle between reel and real worlds. It brings out the beauty and ugliness of Bollywood. Those who are working in Bollywood films' crews shift between their cramped existence in PGs where they share rooms and the larger-than-life lives of actors."
Does the "Om Shanti Om" assistant director have aspirations of making her debut book into a film? "Every book doesn't lend itself to a script. I will explore the possibility but for now, I hope the book does well." Apart from keeping her fingers crossed hoping both her book and "Ra.One" fares well, she has plans to pen her second book. "It is inspired by the life of a Pakistani girl whom I met in the UK. I spent an afternoon crying and laughing, as she spoke about her life. It is about the paradox of the life of Muslim girls and her story is a poignant one that has to be told. Apart from my second book, I will be writing the script of a film as well," she adds.

Looks like King Khan and his leading lady are having a blast on the sets!
Shah Rukh isn't worried about 'Robot' comparison
Shah Rukh Khan and Anubhav Sinha are no more paying any heed to charges of similarities between 'Ra. One' and 'Robot'. Shrugging away all the accusations, in the current set of promos they have even retained shots from certain portions of 'Ra. One' which gave hint of 'Robot' (for example the famous train sequence)
Though the sequence may turn out to have a different context to it, what is surprising is to see Shah Rukh Khan and Anubhav Sinha being nonchalant about it. This despite the fact that 'Robot' has been much seen and liked film which has managed such a cult status amongst it's audience that any similarity like this is bound to be immediately noticed.
"Guess it was all intentional to send out a strong message that 'Ra. One' wasn't worried about the comparison and was willing to take on detractors heads-on", comments a prominent filmmaker on condition of anonymity, "Shah Rukh doesn't seem to be worried about detractors. Otherwise why would he have included this shot when he had a mere 100 seconds to fill up for the teaser? He could have included anything else."
Tell Anubhav about the charge of copying, especially since 'Ra. One' would be arriving a year after 'Robot' and he fires away, "When you are making a film and end up realising that another released film already has a similar sequence, you do contemplate dropping you sequence if you are serving anything stale. But then we didn't even thing like that because we knew what we are making."
Continuing in his defence, Anubhav argues, "Also, for the records, let me state some more facts. We shot the entire train sequence last year in February while 'Robot' released later in October. Do I need to say more?"

King of Bollywood arrives in Toronto for IIFA
Some of Bollywood's biggest stars arrived in Toronto this week ahead of the 12th annual Internatioanl Indian Film Academy Awards, including Shah Rukh Khan, known to fans as King Khan.
Khan, who is considered Bollywood royalty, arrived at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Friday. Surrounded by a flock of reporters and screaming fans, the actor, producer and television host broke out a few dance moves on the hotel floor.
Khan, whose film "My Name is Khan" is nominated for Best Film, told reporters he was not surprised by the number of fans he has in Toronto.
"You guys have been busy multiplying very fast like the Indians do, so it's very nice I have so many more (fans) now," Khan said.
Earlier this week, fan-demonium hit Pearson Airport as throngs of fans arrived to greet
Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Sonu Sood.
Also joining the stars on the green carpet was Anil Kapoor who played the host in the popular movie "Slumdog Millionaire."
The humble actor appeared on CTV's Canada AM on Friday and talked about his crossover from Bollywood to Hollywood.
"I never really imagined myself in this kind of situation where I have a great family, I have a great career," Kapoor said who will be appearing with Tom Cruise in the fourth installment of "Mission Impossible."
Nominated for his role in the comedy "No Problem," Khan said he was surprised by the nomination.
"I didn't know I was nominated," he said. "I just came here, you know, for this great opportunity I had to be here in Toronto."
Considered the Oscars of Bollywood, the IIFA celebrates India's massive film industry. The award show, which will take place Saturday night, is expected to pull in more than 600 million TV viewers from around the world.
This is the first time the award show will take place in North America and to celebrate its North American debut, an outdoor festival dubbed Samsara will take place outside the Rogers Centre.
The free event, hosted by the city of Toronto, will feature popular Indian music, dance and fashion.
Toronto Councillor Vincent Crisanti and Minister of Transportation Kathleen Wynne are expected to be present to officially welcome visitors to the sold-out award show.

SRK chucks performance, instead teaches dance to audience
Shah Rukh Khan never fails to charm! Even if his knee injury restrained him from putting on his usual high-voltage performance, the Bollywood badshah chose to make his audience dance to his steps, and Salman Khan's too!
"If I can't dance, I'll make sure everyone dances here in Toronto tonight," he said as he spoke to the over 20,000-strong audience at the Roger's Centre for the 12th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony Saturday night.
The 45-year-old, who kept making off-and-on appearances on stage during the event, was the grand finale performer. Though his performance started with a bang with the peppy number "Say shava shava", but within a minute it ended leaving fans disappointed.
Little did anyone know that Shah Rukh had more in store for his fans.
"Today, I'll teach you guys different techniques used in Bollywood dancing," he told his fans.
He took the help of choreographer Shiamak Davar's troupe members in getting thousands of people dancing in the stadium, a key landmark in Toronto.

Teaching his fans how to sway to "Say shava shava", Shah Rukh suggested the fans to presume they had to "pull the flush and knock the door".
Shah Rukh threw another surprise when he chose the title track of his friend-turned-foe Salman Khan's "Dabangg" for the activity. He even imitated the typical Salman step wherein he keeps his hands inside the pants' pockets, and moves them side to side.

"This step was made because the trousers were made extremely lose," he quipped.
Aamir's "Khandaala" and Jeetendra's "Dhal gaya din ¦" were also on Shah Rukh's list of dance numbers to be taught. He had colourful hankerchieves and brooms as props for his dance class!
Trust Shah Rukh to engage his audience like no one does.
The audience was, of course, more than elated.
"This gesture of Shah Rukh of teaching us dance steps was very cool. We felt like a part of the whole celebration, and not just spectators," Riddhima Roy, a 20-year-old, told IANS.
A foreigner said: "It's a great way to learn Bollywood dancing in a humourous way!"

King Khan: Bollywood mega-star touches down in T.O.

Thousands of screaming supporters jammed Pearson Airport to welcome the man fans call "King Khan."
The madness continued as a crush of admirers, media and security accompanied Khan to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Later Friday, Khan will be at Toronto's City Hall to meet with Mayor Rob Ford. He will be presented with a special scroll and Toronto flag by the mayor inside the council chambers. Khan will also meet with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as part of the IIFA celebrations.
This is the first year the awards are being held in North America.
Shah Rukh Khan gets royal treatment from IIFA organisers
There were a lot of stars at the film award function held recently in Toronto, but actor Shah Rukh Khan was given a preferential treatment above everybody else.
While every other actor was lodged in a downtown hotel in Toronto, Khan was put up at the best suite in one of the topmost hotels there.
"He was given the best suite and there was special staff posted for him both for the awards and the hotel. Shah Rukh had also flown in with his own staff and they were all lodged along with him," says a source.
There was also a special task force formed by the organisers that was supposed to look after Khan exclusively. "There was no brief for them, except to 'standby and wait for anything that he wants'.
Khanbriefly had some problem with the taps in his bathroom (he later said that he got confused between the hot and cold water taps in the shower) but overall he seemed to have enjoyed the stay," the source adds.
Though there were some reports that Khan's knee was bleeding after his performance, a staff member who was also on standby for the actor said that there was nothing as such.
"He was hurt and we had put him on cortisone injections (a kind of steroid to ease the pain) but he was not bleeding because the nature of the injury was internal (in his muscles)," the staff member said.
According to sources, the entire business section of the aircraft was also sealed off when Khan was leaving the venue. "The entire area was sealed off for him and his staff. When he was coming here, there was only Dharmendra (actor) with him. But he left alone after a brief meeting with Priyanka (actress Priyanka Chopra)," the source adds.
Chopra apparently waited for three hours to speak to Khan personally.

Interview:Shah Rukh wants to quit smoking
Why is the villain of the film called Ra.One and the superhero G.One?
Why did you name the film after a villain?
Many of my friends, including Karan (Johar) and Adi (Aditya Chopra) told me to name the film as G.One. But whenever I have seen a superhero or larger-than-life film, including Sholay (I am not comparing…choti muuh bari maat) or Mr India, that has superheroic characters like Jai-Veeru or Mr India, the negative character also goes big…take Gabbar Singh, Mogambo, Shakaal. The villain is so big that we need a superhero to defeat him. So I thought keeping the villain's name as title will be a bit different. I know people were a bit confused as they thought Shah Rukh is playing Ra.One. But it's not so. Ra.One is evil and there is no particular face to evil…anyone can be evil at any point of time. That's the logic behind the title.
Reports say you did not take a dummy to do the stunts in Ra.One. What was the most difficult part of performing your own stunts?
If I am not mistaken, I did 75-80% of the stunts on my own. There used to be harness inside my superhero suit…it was really uncomfortable and that was the most difficult part. During shooting, I had to jump, go down and go up 30-40 feet…the holding of the harness for such long time itself was very tiring. With the harness, one cannot eat, cannot move freely…I think I lost six to seven kgs due to the harness. Now that the shooting is over, even I get shocked when I see the shots…ke kaise kar liya yaar!
What is the one thing that is a must when an actor wants to do a superhero film?
If you want to do a superhero film, you have to be physically very, very fit. And also be mentally very strong that will push him to go to sets everyday and do those tiring stunts.
The Indian audience has got its first superhero in Krrish (played by Hrithik Roshan), where visual effects played a major role. Are we going to see superior effects in Ra.One?
See, what makes me confident about Ra.One is we are the producers (Red Chillies Entertainment) and it's our VFX unit that's working on the project. So, that's double the effect and can safely say we have never done such effects before. I won't say there have never ever been such good effects, but on our part, the effort is a lot more as the responsibility is a lot more. Things should not go wrong.
Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan have played superheroes in Krrish and Drona respectively. Have you seen the films?
I am inspired by both Krrish and Drona. When I was a child, I used to tie a towel on my back, wear blue tights of my sister and a red swimming costume over it, and jump from a higher platform. I love comics and superhero characters since childhood. I used to watch films like Teesri Aankh, Parasmani. So when I saw Krrish, I was really, really happy to see it. I won't say envious, but I always desired to do such a film. Then I saw Drona and found it fantastic…the efforts.
How did your peppy number with Kareena Kapoor –Chammak Challo-leak on the Internet months before the audio release?
That was an earlier version of the song though people are liking the leaked version…so we are Inshallah saved. But it's really unfortunate…I am very sad, very depressed by that. Again, that's not D-version that will appear in the film…the original version is still with us…we will release the audio mid-August and then you will see the song in its full avatar. I have told everyone in the unit to take a little care. I think they have even found out the IP address from where it was leaked. Hopefully if we catch him, toh use maar maar ke gaana gawaunga.
You will be seen promoting 'No Smoking' in the film. But you are a smoker yourself…
It's the worst habit anyone can have and I am speaking out of experience…there's strain on teeth, bad breath, you get headache in the morning, fingers get yellow, stamina decreases. That's the only bad habit I have. If I weren't smoking, I would have been a saint. But now I want to seriously quit smoking and thanks to this film that I had to cut down my cigarettes to get physically fitter. I am trying my best to quit smoking. More than for my children, family and friends, I have to give it up for myself.
Ra.One (pronounced as Ravan) is Random Access: Version One. But it also stands for a bad or negative person made with ten of the worse…you can mythologically connect it to Ravaan and his ten heads. G.One (pronounced as Jeevan) is the life giver, the one I am playing.
Why did you name the film after a villain?
Many of my friends, including Karan (Johar) and Adi (Aditya Chopra) told me to name the film as G.One. I'm not doing 2 States: Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra has denied signing a film based on Chetan Bhagat's book " 2 States: The Story of My Marriage", which is said to feature superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
"I am not in discussion with anyone regarding '2 States'. There is a great team involved, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bharadwaj and I definitely look forward to working with them at some point in the future," Priyanka told in an interview. "However at this time, I am just committed to completing my existing projects on hand, which include Kunal Kohli's next, 'Barfee', and 'Krrish 2'," added the 28-year-old.
"2 States: The Story of My Marriage" is the third Chetan Bhagat novel to inspire a movie, after "Hello", based on his book "One Night @ The Call Centre" and the superhit "3 Idiots", inspired by his bestseller "Five Point Someone". If Priyanka had taken up "2 States", it would have been her third movie based on a novel. The first was Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Rashee?", based on Madhu Rye's "Kimball Ravenswood", followed by "7 Khoon Maaf", inspired by Ruskin Bond's short story "Susanna's Seven Husbands".

Shah Rukh's next with Ashutosh Gowariker mounts early next year!!
Hold on.... According to our highly placed sources, the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is having series of lengthy meetings with the talented Ashutosh Gowariker and they both are in serious discussions on a Bollywood biggie and its not 'Swades 2'.
Right now our first hand information is that the shoot of the said project is likely to commence early next year when SRK finishes his much awaited romancer with Yash Chopra that also stars Katrina and Anushka Sharma.
The movie will be an out and out entertainer and is said to shape Ashutosh career and improve his standing in the box office. Unfortunately, Ashutosh's last two releases have failed to register decent collections even after being well made products.
Hope this time the jodi creates magic at the box-office as well.
SRK and Ashutosh previously joined hands for 'Swades' which was highly appreciated by cine rasikas.

Aamir moves away from SRK
Plans have changed for the actors who were going to come together in Christmas this year...
Actors Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were all set to clash at the box office on Christmas this year, with the release of Don 2 and Reema Kagti's yet-to-be-titled Aamir-starrer. However, plans seem to have changed.
While Shah Rukh's Don 2 will release in December as scheduled, Kagti's Aamir-starrer will be pushed to release on another day. Reason? Don was a hit, and the so sequel is being looked forward to. Also, Don 2 is made on a big budget. Reema Kagti's film, on the other hand, is a small-budget film.
The producers thought it best to shift the date for the betterment of the production. Aamir Khan let his director and producers decide on when the film should be released. So there'll be no Aamir-SRK clash this year as there was when Ghajini and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi released around the same time in 2008.

DON 2 has nothing to do with original
He may have got plenty of help from the Salim-Javed storyline of the original Don (1978) while scripting Don: The Chase Begins Again with Shah Rukh Khan, but for the sequel, Farhan Akhtar admits he’s starting afresh. “Because it was a remake the story had to be somewhat similar. But for Don 2, it was like starting with a clean slate. I had the opportunity to do whatever I wanted to with those characters,” says Farhan.
But it is his next release as an actor, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD), that is getting his attention these days. “Zoya’s (director, sister Zoya Akhtar) film is releasing on July 15, and we want to leave no stone unturned. So Don 2 is on hold for a while, even through all the preparatory work is done. It will release in December as planned,” says the actor-director.
Ask him if Don 2 may get lost in the crowd, given Bollywood’s packed schedule for December and that SRK’s Ra.One would appear at the same time, Farhan retorts, “Ours is a much awaited film, and there’s been a healthy buzz about it even without a single promo on air. I don’t think it’s risky at all. The year-end is a great time to release a film.”
ZNMD, meanwhile, has been racking up comparisons to Farhan’s cult directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and Hollywood hit The Hangover (2009). “Of course ZNMD will be reminiscent of Dil Chahta Hai. It has three guys, a car that’s playing an important role, and one of them finding love along the way on the road trip. But it’s unfair to compare them, because the stories are completely different, and so are the characters. As for The Hangover, I didn’t know they had a copyright over bachelor trips,” he laughs.
Farhan also lights up at the mention of ZNMD’s extended shooting stint in Spain. “It didn’t feel like a staged road trip because we actually did travel that much,” he says, adding, “We shot at about 107 locations and stayed at 12 to 13 different bases.”
He’s even sung a song in the film, but that didn’t feature in Farhan’s recent Pond’s Fun in the Sun concert in the city, where he belted out hits from Rock On!! (2008). “I wanted to play songs that people were familiar with. Maybe once the music releases, we’ll plan an event of this sort,” he says hopefully.
‘It’s best to just ignore rumours’
It was alleged in sections of the press that Farhan Akhtar was having an affair with one of his assistant directors. Enraged at that time, he had decided to take legal action. He had said, “I’m surprised and upset by the complete disregard of the sense of ethics and lack of sensitivity. The article is nothing but misleading and the statements and insinuation made by the author have no basis in fact.”
However, Farhan has now decided against filing the case. “Not only will I have to keep going to court, but I’ll also have to keep seeing them constantly, which is not something I’m interested in,” he says, adding, “This is not the first, but it’s been getting more and more ludicrous every time it happens. I felt they had gone too far this time.”
The actor-director justifies his earlier outburst by saying, “Whatever rumours have been published earlier, people have had the courtesy to ask me for my side of the story.
“This time, they didn’t even bother to do that. Anyway, I think it’s best to just ignore it now.”
SRK: I miss the younger Shahrukh Khan
As SRK gets busier promoting his next youth release ALWAYS KABHI KABHI, the actor is missing his own younger days. Being the quintessential candid that he is known to be, SRK says that he misses the younger Shahrukh Khan while promoting this film.
Says he, "I wish I was twenty years younger so that I could get to romance younger girls too. I miss the younger Shahrukh Khan." This is what SRK feels while his next production, which is a youth subject, gets ready for release.
SRK is quite excited about ALWAYS KABHI KABHI. Speaking about the subject, SRK adds, "I have really liked the film and I am sure the young audience too will feel the same. This film is about chasing your dreams instead of going after something half-heartedly. The youth part of the film is the same as it was in my time, but the way they deal with their life has changed. There are many things in the film that I have not done in my school life."

Shah Rukh to go on Haj pilgrimage
B-Town is abuzz with the news that Karan Johar has bought the rights of National Award winning Malayalam film Adaminde Makan Abu (Abu, son of Adam) for close to 25 lakh.
According to reports, Karan will direct the film and it will star Shah Rukh Khan. The film is about the journey of an elderly Muslim couple trying to go to Haj and the problems they face. In the film the couple are grandparents but the Hindi version will be tweaked to suit SRK.
The original film was directed by debutant Salim Ahmed and starred Salim Kumar and Zarina Wahab in the lead roles. Salim Ahmed will also be a part of KJo's film.
Says an insider, After the success of My Name Is Khan nationally and globally, Shah Rukh and Karan want to do another Islam-centric film.
MNIK also picked up a lot of critical acclaim for them. Although Adaminde Makan Abu is a multi award-winning film, it wasn't a commercial success, but Karan will add his own touch to the film to ensure it connects with the audiences.

'Rascals' versus 'Ra.One' in Diwali
Diwali just got bigger. A few months ago, the makers of RA.ONE took the crucial decision of releasing the film during the festival of lights. Now here's the latest: The producers of RASCALS have also decided to release their film in Diwali. Yes, the David Dhawan-directed film, which stars Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn in the lead, will face the mighty RA.ONE in the festive week. In fact, the producers of RASCALS were unsure whether to clash with a mighty opponent like RA.ONE or arrive in another week. But the 5-day weekend is too tempting to miss and also, two films can easily co-exist during the Diwali week. Perhaps, these two reasons may have prompted the producers of RASCAL to release their film during the rewarding period.
Shah Rukh has an impeccable track record as far as Diwali is concerned. DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAIN, MOHABBATEIN, VEER-ZAARA, DON and OM SHANTI OM were released in the festive week and each of them proved money spinners at the box-office. Ajay Devgn too has been very lucky as far as Diwali goes. GOLMAAL RETURNS and ALL THE BEST have proven hits, so RASCALS could be a hat-trick. Also, it's not the first time an SRK starrer is clashing with a David Dhawan film. Diwali 1998 witnessed the release of SRK's KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI and David Dhawan's BADE MIYA CHOTE MIYAN and both had emerged big hits then.

Final Confirmation: Asin With Shah Rukh Khan For "2-States"
For the past 5 months there have been lots of buzzes rounding upon Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘2 States’. One of the reasons is mainly because of author Chetan Bhagat as blockbuster movie ‘3 Idiots’ was based on his novel ‘Five Point Someone’. Soon after the novel ’2 States’ was considered for adaption, it was revealed by producer Sajid Nandiadwala that Priyanka Chopra has been considered for the female lead role opposite Shah Rukh Khan and later Deepika Padukone replaced her.
But finally, it is Asin making her way into the project as Sajid was very much impressed with her performance in his upcoming production ‘Houseful 2’. Asin will be playing the role of a Tamil Brahmin girl, who falls in love with a North Indian guy. How they convince their families with different cultures and lifestyle forms crux of the story and is narrated in a hilarious way.
